Nate Dogg To Be Featured On TV One’s Unsung

Hip-Hop hooks haven’t been the same since the untimely death of Nate Dogg in 2011. The G-Funk icon’s life and career will be the subject of an episode of TV One’s Unsung in its forthcoming new season this fall.

TV One describe’s the Naet Dogg episode as follows:

Since crashing the pop and hip hop charts in the early 1990s with Death Row Records, Nate Dogg became the “go to” R&B singer with a soulful hook. The sonic and spiritual leader behind the G-funk movement, he was a leader in this musical genre which combined soulful harmonies and gangsta rap. Ultimately, ill health and a series of strokes brought his life to a sad, tragic end.

Unsung chronicles the highs and lows of R&B and Hip-Hop stars and its new season kicks off Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 pm. Other acts being showcased this season include Chante Moore, KC & The Sunshine Band and Lakeside.

Warren G,Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg formed a group called 213 in 1990. The story goes that Dr. Dre heard their demo, and the rest is history.
